The Magnetawan Recreation Committee would like to thank everyone who came out and made Canada Day such an awesome day! So many things to celebrate about this beautiful country!

A very special thank you goes out to:

  • Ministry of Canadian Heritage & Official Languages for their very generous grant
  • The Magnetawan Bait and Tackle, more specifically Rob Rainey who supplied the beautiful fireworks that made for such a spectacular show
  • The Magnetawan Fire Department for lighting the fireworks off
  • Summers Attic for their donation collected in-store through customers towards the fireworks
  • To the Agricultural Society for putting on a very yummy BBQ for the community
  • To the Cornball Store for supplying Canada Day Cakes
  • To Doug Lidstone and John Hetherington for organizing and running the Cardboard Boat Races
  • To Les Graves for supplying a safety boat for the Cardboard Boat Races
  • To the very talented musicians
  • To Melissa Solhm for her wonderful face painting
