HOW TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR A BUILDING PERMIT, AN-AMENDMENT TO A BUILDING PERMIT, DRAWINGS / DOCUMENTS,PAYMENT
Further to a recent inquiry regarding how to deposit plans and/or documents at the Municipal Office, you’re required to place them in a box located at the side door ( across from the rink ) clearly identified for the Building Department.During business hours you are asked to telephone Administrative Assistant -( 705-387-3947 ) to inform her that you have dropped off plans and/or documents. All drawings and/or documents are required to be date stamped
when received. When the information has been date stamped by the
Administrative Assistant she will place all information in the IN-BASKET of the Building Department.
We are still receiving information by electronic method, mail, and/or courier service.
Processing of information will not proceed until the information is properly received and date stamped.
In 2016, the Municipality of Magnetawan entered into an agreement with the Town of Kearney to share a building department.
Due to inspection times, we cannot guarantee when the building inspector will be in the office. Therefore, if you wish to speak to the Building Department, please book an appointment. The Building Department will typically book in office appointments for Thursday and Friday mornings and do inspections on Thursday and Friday afternoons. This schedule is subject to change based on the availability the inspector and demand of inspections.
