Indigenous Land Acknowledgement Statement
The Municipality of Magnetawan recognizes all of Canada resides on traditional, unceded,
and/or treaty lands of the Indigenous People of Turtle Island.
We recognize our Municipality on The Robinson Huron Treaty territory is home to many
past, present and future Indigenous families.
This acknowledgment of the land is a declaration of our commitment and collective
responsibility to reconcile the past, and to honour and value the culture, history and
relationships we have with one another.

 

September 30th marks the first

National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
This day honours the lost children and Survivors of residential schools, their families, and communities
We grieve with our friends, residents, and communities in solidarity and in respect
