Tuesday Night Archery

July 12th - August 23


Every Tuesday, head on over to the Magnetawan Community Centre Pavilion to practice your bow and arrow skills. The recreation committee will supply all equipment. If you have your own bow and arrow that you would like to bring, feel free! Adult supervision will be present. This event is for young and old.

Wednesday Night Crafts

July 6th - September


Every Wednesday, head on over to the Magnetawan Public Library for a night of craft making and other expressive activities. Bonnie the librarian will lead all those interested in a different craft each week. Stay tuned for special Wednesday night events with appearances from author George Brooks (July 20 & 27) and DJ Andrew Farnsworth (August 10). All materials will be supplied. Adult supervision will be present. This event is for the young, and the young at heart.

Thursday Night Sports

July 14th - August 25th


Every Thursday, head on over to the Magnetawan Community Centre for an evening of sport activities. Each Thursday two different sport activities will be set up. On the first and third weeks of the month, basketball and ball hockey will be set up. On the second and fourth weeks of the month volleyball and soccer will be set up. Accommodations will be made for young and older athletes, as well as competitive and non-competitive athletes. Activities will be lead by Jesse Winger. Equipment will be supplied by the recreation committee, but feel free to bring your own equipment.

Friday Evening Beach Bash

July 15th - August 26th

6:00- 8:00pm

Every Friday head on over to the Magnetawan Lions Centennial Park, for an evening of beach activities. The beach will be set up with outdoor volleyball nets, bocce ball sets, sand castle building supplies, water games, and more. Jesse Winger will also lead a fun activity for the children. If you have any beach games that you would like to bring with you, feel free!

Saturday Night Live Music

July 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th & August 6th


On occasional Saturday nights this summer, head on over to the Magnetawan Lions Centennial Park to enjoy a night of live music. Do not miss performances by: Rocco & The Rollers, Patti Parker, Jim Allen, Ken Litster, and the Wednesday Night Jammers. This event is free, but a small money donation towards the band is accepted. Or, if you would like to provide a food donation for the food bank that will also be accepted. Bring your own chair.
