FULL TIME PARKS AND MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT
The Municipality of Magnetawan is currently seeking applications for the position of
Parks and Maintenance Working Lead Hand
with an anticipated start date of: Immediate
Wage: as per Collective Agreement CUPE Local 1813-11
$23.85 per hour ($24.29 July 01, 2024) plus OMERS and Benefits
This position is to assist with work within the Parks and Maintenance Department under the direction of the Parks and Maintenance Manager (PMM) and assists the PMM in overseeing and providing supervision for the day-to-day activities and operations of the Parks and Maintenance Department and cemeteries, as required, and directed by the PMM. This position is full-time consisting of 40 hours a week, as per the Collective Agreement. This position requires a candidate with proven supervisory experience and adept at small mechanical repairs. The applicant must have their own transportation, a valid “G” Ontario Driver’s License and a clean Driver’s Abstract as well as a clean Criminal Records check. Must be willing to obtain Small Water Systems Certificate.

CASUAL PARKS
The Municipality of Magnetawan is currently seeking applications for the position of
Casual-Parks (Unionized)
with an anticipated start date as soon as possible.
The Casual - Parks will perform inside and outside maintenance operations to facilities. Duties include, but are not limited to: Grass cutting, Landscaping, Gardening, Custodial Duties, Painting, Ice Maintenance, etc. Applicants will be required to operate most pieces of municipal Parks equipment – pick-up truck, grass mowers, weed-trimmers, etc. as well as manual tasks. The applicant must have own transportation, a valid “G” Ontario Driver’s License and a clean Driver’s Abstract as well as a clean Criminal Records check.
Rate is per hour as per CUPE Local 1813-11 C.A.
