Local beekeeper Peter Dunnett maintains honeybees throughout the Magnetawan area. Offering unpasteurized wildflower #1 golden honey and creamed honey in various sizes. Honeycomb is often available in the fall. 

Peter has been working with honeybees since he was a teenager. He learned from John Holden as he helped with his hives. Later Peter got his own hives and has been constantly growing his apiary. Currently maintaining 5 bee yards with most of the beehives located on the farm on Baker Road. While harvesting and processing the honey there is a significant amount of beeswax gathered. Several all-natural products are produced using the beeswax such as candles, handmade soaps, beeswax wraps, lip balms, body lotions, balms and salves. 

Where to purchase product: All products can be purchased at the Magnetawan market from May long weekend until Thanksgiving on Saturdays from 10-1 at the Lion’s pavilion in Magnetawan. Products also available at various local businesses in the Almaguin area and can be picked up at the farm if prearrangements are made.
