The dams and locks of our region have shaped the history of the Magnetawan River and the people who live here. Visiting these hand-operated structures is definitely an experience.
Landmarks
Echo Rock
Echo Rock afford visitors an incredible view of Cecebe Lake, and also interesting acoustics.
Fagans Falls
This picturesque waterfall is located immediately downstream of a little water level dam at the northern tip of Old Mill Bay on Ahmic Lake.

Trails criss-cross our beautiful region, and they are all yours to discover! Whether you prefer to hike, bike, or ski, there's a trail for you!
Knoepfli Falls
Built at the same time as the locks and dam in Magnetawan, Knoepfli Falls are a picturesque attraction viewable from Hwy. 124.
Shipwreck
What was once the first passenger boat through the new locks, now rests on the river bed. The paddle wheeler Wenonah stands testament to the strong history of the region, for all to see.
The Lighthouse
The current lighthouse was rebuilt in the Summer of 2022 after flooding in the Spring of 2019 destroyed the replica built in 1995.
